holistic therapy to heal the deepest wounds, both old & new
you're exhausted. you keep over-functioning and it's draining you.

When your childhood wounds start to impact your present, it makes it hard to feel connected to loved ones and feel confident in yourself. Your negative thoughts completely take over...so you start to over-function, overachieve, and people please to seek approval from others. No matter what you’ve tried, you still don’t feel confident.

You turn to overworking and perfectionism as ways to mask deeper pain. You start to hide certain parts of yourself away to avoid judgment. I get it, it’s hard to be vulnerable when you don’t feel safe. Trauma can deeply impact your present, making it difficult to trust others and even yourself.

If you’re in a constant battle between all these different parts of you that have an opinion (like the characters in Inside Out), then you’ve come to the right place.

You’re frustrated AF at how loud that inner critic is in your head. This is the time to challenge those negative thoughts, cultivate self-compassion, and start showing up as the powerful woman you are.

Therapist. Supervisor. Educator. Speaker.

hey there,

I’m a licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist on a mission to help people create spaces to heal their inner hurts. But more importantly, I’m a pattern disruptor, a healer, and a space holder for all things sacred.

Being a safe place to land, so you can feel your feelings and be heard, is why I do what I do. Therapy is hard, but it’s not as hard as what you’ve already been through. Something you’ll hear from me often in sessions is stuff can be two things. Healing is a journey (that’s not a straight line) and I’m here to walk alongside you on that path.

This looks like me showing up as my authentic self (aka Harry Potter fanatic, bookworm, and wannabe-hippie) so you can too. I’m a therapist who believes that humor and connection are essential ingredients in the therapy process, and I love a good creative activity!

I’m Dr. Kami Ball-Tran, LPC-S, RPT-S (she/her)

I see you. I am here.

I see you. I am here.

my approach to therapy

I take an attachment-based approach to healing, recognizing the profound impact of early relationships on your emotional patterns and sense of self. Understanding the mind-body connection is central to our work, helping you explore how past relationships and experiences shape your emotional patterns and physical responses. Through somatic practices, we’ll gently connect with your body’s wisdom to release stored trauma and build resilience.

I utilize expressive arts and sand tray techniques to provide creative and more hands-on ways to process that may be difficult to put into words. These strategies are particularly effective for children but are also powerful tools for adults to access your unconscious and bring that forward to process whatever comes up in session. Through sand tray and other expressive activities (art, movement, games, etc.), we can bring your inner experiences to life, offering a creative way of connecting with your inner child.

This provides a safe space to explore challenging emotions from a healthy distance, allowing you to process difficult moments and foster a sense of empowerment on your healing journey. By blending attachment theory with expressive modalities, we create a safe and nurturing space for you to heal, grow, and build the fulfilling relationships you deserve.
